🚨 Are you at high risk for certain health conditions? Don’t wait for symptoms to show up! Discover the must-do health screenings that can save your life and keep you thriving. #HealthScreenings #PreventionIsKey #StayHealthy
The Screening Test Review Committee (STRC) develops evidence-based recommendations on the appropriate use of screening tests in Singapore, serving as
professional guidance to healthcare professionals. The last report of the STRC’s was published in 2019. Now, they have published an updated report, which will be covered here.
Category 2 Tests
As a recap, Category 2 tests are suitable for individual-level decision; the net benefit does not outweigh the risk in general (average-risk) population, but the screening is useful (clinically and/or cost-effective) for high-risk populations.

We will cover Category 3 tests in the next post.
Conclusion
Health screenings are an essential part of preventive care, especially for high-risk individuals. By staying proactive and getting screened regularly, you can catch potential health issues early and take control of your health journey.
